Birthday Week!

Happy Birthday Mike and Isabella!

First present

It's a lawnmower

What a great week, Mike turned 31 on Wed. and Izzy 1 on Thurs. We took Izzy out on her first bike ride with the fam. She loves it! Izzy got a lawnmower to play with in the backyard with big sis. They are already fighting over it! We got Mike a digital picture frame for the boat so that he can see his girls. I made a cake for them to gooble up which they did. More cake to come at the birthday party at the end of the month, this time I'm not going to make it! We are very excited for the party it is probably going to be another one of our blow outs but we always have so much fun. Well enjoy the video of little Miss eating her cake. Wow she is 1!!!

Some thoughts

I can't believe how soon Mike will be leaving, where did the time go?! He leaves on his last det before the big boat trip as we call it for Paige. Paige is handling this like a big girl, she seems to understand it pretty well. That all may change when he leaves though. Izzy I think will have a hard time at first because she has quickly became a Daddy's girl just like her sister. How does that work, I do all the hard work and he gets all the loves. That ok I get some too!
Right now in the process of planning lil Izzy's first birthday party. I can't believe that it has been a year already. We are having a Barnyard party! It will be fun, it's mostly a backyard party but we won't tell Izzy. Grammie Bonnie, Grandpa Ron, Auntie Marti and Mr. C will be joining us as well as some of our friends to celebrate. I am definitely looking forward to it.
Other than normal craziness, we are all doing great. I will definitely post after the bday party so everyone can see the pics and maybe I can figure out how to do the slideshow. Yeah, right!

Papa Mike and Gramma Kathi visit

First of all, Happy 4th of July everyone!!!The Grandparents were here for a week. It was really nice to have them out here to spend some time with. We didn't do much on this trip, we mostly stayed home. Mike and his Dad stained the fence which was awesome. Gramma Kathi cooked dinners and made cookies with lil Miss. Paige's help.

Mike and I were able to get away for a night to a very nice B&B called Front Street Inn in Wilmington (Thank you Pam and Ryan for the gift certificate, if it wasn't for their generous gift I know that we would of never done this, and thank you to the grandparents for watching the girls overnight). It was wonderful to get away without have kids in tow. The next day the grandparents and the kiddos met us in the morning to do some window shopping and pottery in historic downtown. Paige and I painted pottery, that is always fun. Paige painted a flower and I did a plate with Izzy's foot print on it. That was funny because the paint brush tickled Izzy foot, so she was giggling and wiggling a lot. I hope that they turn out good. All and all it was a great day out with the family.

Today is the 4th! We plan to stay home and BBQ with the Keech's and Vic. We are hoping to watch some fireworks that are going off near by so that we don't have to leave the house. It's just too late to have Izzy out, she in bed by 730 and it get dark after 9 so you do the math. Hope that everyone has a safe and happy 4th! Happy 4th Anniversary Pam and Ryan!
