Snow Day in Jacksonville?!

Well today started out with me driving Paige across town to school just to find out that it had been cancelled due to weather. The funny thing to me was that there was no weather. As we were driving home it started to snow but it was melting. I'm thinking to myself that this is pretty funny that they cancelled everything for this, Flurries!

This what it looked like at 1030. You can just barely see snow on the windshield.

This is around 230, I took this because the snow had stopped and started to melt. I think that I was wrong about the snow.
The girls running to go play, they were so excited!

This is at 430. I guess you really can't tell how much snow is out there but it is probably a little over an inch. Our entire yard is covered in snow, everything is beautiful and white. The girls loved playing in it. Izzy was running around giggling most of the time and Paige was just running around. She wanted to have a snowball fight but it was getting late and cold. We don't have the proper gear to be playing in the snow. The girls had on multiple layer and still were wet when we came in the house. Here is a video of Paige making a snow angel that she waited all day for. Enjoy!

Grandparents and Grandkids

My parents scheduled a photo shoot with the grandkids and here is one of the pictures. The day was freezing, we had to take a break to go sit in the cars to warm back up. This picture was one of the last one before I said that Izzy was done. Paige kept giving the I am freezing face and this is probably what that face is in this picture. It was a great place for picture but maybe next time it needs to be done on a much warmer day! Freezing or not it is still cute.

Jump-o-lene

Well for Christmas Grammie Bonnie and Grandpa Ron got the girls this Jump-o-lene which they hate as you can tell. It is great the perfect size for the 2 of them to play in together. Izzy does jump in it she just would jump for pictures, she's no jumping monkey but as you can tell Paige will for the camera.
Izzy likes to sit and watch her big sister get silly and will run around in it more so than jump. We thought that this would be a good alternative to a trampoline. Plus, I can put it away and they can play with it inside and out. The big bonus is we don't have to figure out what to do with it during hurricanes and windstorms.
With both girls in gymnastics this is a great toy for them. Thank you, Grammie an Grandpa Ron we love it. Maybe I will get some video of both of them jumping.

Christmas

Well Merry Christmas everyone, hope that your holidays were great. All of us had a great time spenting it with my family we did miss Mike so very much but he was able to call a few times so that was very nice. This picture is the girls opening their traditional Christmas eve gift. And that is Izzy's new cheese face. Such a poser like her Daddy! Don't ask what they opened because I don't even remember. They were just happy to finally open something under that tree.
Right after getting some yummy breakfast the girls checked out what Santa brought them in their stockings but had to wait for everything else until Michelle and the boys came over. Paige really got into it but Izzy just really liked to take the stuff out of it but really could careless about what she was taking out, except for a little play cellphone which caught her's and Paige's eye. They were fighting over that later!
Finally, present time. This is a gift from Uncle Jeff that she loves and Izzy loves it because of the music it plays. Izzy was given her first real doll from Grammie and Master Guns. She likes it but still would rather still Paige's Donna (her favorite baby doll) when she isn't looking. She was also given her first purse which was a huge hit, that stays in the car for her to play with driving back and forth to school. The girls had a great day opening a ton of stuff that thank goodness Jeff came out or it would of never made it home in my car with the girls and Zeke.
The whole day was wonderful, spending it with my family, minus my Mike. That was the first Christmas all of us have been together since 1997. So my parents were very happy to have all of us together. I did invite everyone out here next year because we will NOT be traveling during the holidays next year that is for sure! Thank you to everyone for all of the wonderful gifts that you sent to all of us and all of the cards that we received. Happy New Year to everyone and can't wait to see what this year will bring to all of us.
(Sorry Mom and Dad for once again not taking any pictures of you guys with the girls!)

Trip to Grandparents

The girls and I made the big drive out to my parents house for the holidays. We spent the first couple of days do fun little things with the girls and boys (nephews Kody and Konan). We took a trip out to Hot Springs and checked out the observation tower. It was very cold so we were quite bundled up. Right after this picture Izzy had bit her glove then touched it to the poll and it stuck! The view was beautiful but Grammie Debbie was ready to go, we had to beg her into going up there.

On Christmas eve my brother Jeff surprised my parents by showing up at the door. He also drove 16 hours to get out there. We celebrated him coming out by putting him back in a car to drive an hour to go to a place that was like Chuck E Cheese on steroids. The place had everything you could possible imagine in this building. I took Paige on her first go-cart ride which was a lot of fun she loved it. Izzy played a little in the baby play area but made her way upstairs to all of the video games and played a dancing video game with Paige. Paige bowled a little too. I had to leave for a little while because Mike called and I was able to talk to him for about an hour which is awesome because most of the time it doesn't last any longer than 15 min. Fun was definitely had by all.

Kody got a Rockstar guitar for Christmas but had also brought over all of his other stuff including his drums and 2 other guitars. So, Jeff, Kody, Paige and Izzy all were rocking out. Jeff and Kody were the only ones actually playing but that didn't stop our girls from rocking out as well. They did give Paige a real try at the guitar but she could careless if it was plugged in or not. Izzy just loved being the groupie dancer in the middle of everyone. I do have to admit I did give it a try and I was terrible and chose not to do it again. Here is a video of the girls rocking out so enjoy it!

Christmas Concert

The day that we left for my parents house Paige had her Christmas Concert at school. It was very cute, she did a great good. She even found Izzy and I in the crowd to wave at us, our little star. The video isn't that great but you can definitely hear all of the kids singing their little hearts out.
